Friday hiking group is our effort to get kids grades 4-8th exploring the great outdoors in all seasons. This is a state-funded program through our partnership with Real Red Riding Hoods Forest School.

Each week, we will hike in the beautiful Front Range from North Colorado Springs up to Spruce Mountain Open Space - our hiking spot differs each week. We hike 2-4 miles with breaks for free play and learning basic survival skills, orienteering, local plants, foraging, local ecosystems, etc…. We will have special guests and rock climbing dates scheduled throughout the school year.
